Marseillan, France
2:37 PM
A pirate flag flying on top of an old building in Marseillan’s port. Reminds me of the pirate flag that once flew on top of an Apple building in the early eighties.

1:44 PM
Clams linguines is one of my favourite meals. Got the best one here. The second best one was in New York.

1:27 PM
Another great stop for lunch: Marseillan. We are having a great time and nice lunch. Here are Beignet de lotte.

La Grande-Motte, France
5:37 PM
Typical architecture found at La Grande-Motte, France.

4:13 PM
I thought it was a great piece of street art, located on the port of La Pointe Courte, in Sète, France.

4:05 PM
Located in Pointe Courte in Sète, this made me smile.

3:31 PM
Sète is a very pleasant place to stop by for a visit. We had a great lunch there before heading to La Grande-Motte.

2:16 PM
This lamb plate was an absolute pleasure to have! WOW!

1:57 PM
In case you didn’t know: I’m a foody. Stopped at a very nice local restaurant called ‘Le Flore’. Gaspacho. More to come.

1:00 PM
On the road to Sète, France, with a stop at the beach.

10:11 PM
The beauty of Paris. ❤️ It’s one of my best shots of Eiffel Tower.

7:03 PM
While walking down the street, I spotted this little guy on a concrete wall. Its purpose? To hold a window shade in place (while in ‘up’ position like shown on this image). So cute.

1:56 PM
I’m a big fan of churches and cathedrals, thanks to my late father who was a professional architect. I tend to look at details instead of the whole thing. In this scene, the light was just right.

12:05 PM
Picture of a Sake shop on our way to Saint-Louis Island. At first, I wanted to get into the shop for a better view of the display but decided against it when I saw the reflection effect.

11:54 AM
What a strange building, and a controversial one. Français : La tuyauterie extérieure du Centre Pompidou est principalement fonctionnelle, et non décorative : les architectes ont volontairement placé les réseaux techniques à l’extérieur pour libérer de grands espaces à l’intérieur du bâtiment. The exterior piping of the Pompidou Centre is primarily functional rather than decorative. The architects deliberately placed the building’s technical systems on the outside to create large, open interior spaces.

Another take on lightened windows, late-night theme. I love these because I always wonder about the life going on in those apartments.

12:34 PM
Took a lunch break at the Samaritaine department store. We add a delicious vegan dish and banana cake. All means to skip the heat is a net plus for us.

11:10 AM
Here’s another carousel that I came across on our way to see the Notre Dame Cathedral. I think this is the third or fourth one so far, and probably the last.

11:07 PM
And this is how many of us are ending the night. What an exhausting and heated day.

10:30 PM
A classic from Paris, the gothic / Gaudi metro sign entrance.

7:57 PM
It was an interesting moment where the clouds added a dramatic touch to the scene of Sacre-Coeur Basilica entrance.

4:16 PM
Recent and modern Batignole buildings. It used to be a place for trains assembly, now full of parks and housing facilities. Very modern and diversified.

11:15 AM
Can a stair be a masterpiece? Oh yes. Not only is it beautiful, but it is an enjoyable experience to use. Dimensions feel just right, even if today’s people are taller than back then. Jacquemart-André Museum.

And this is how today’s photo journey ends, with a view of an enlightened window.

4:42 PM
I took this photo while walking toward Les Invalides. It was so hot 🥵. We could barely see any tourists on the streets, except in the parks, under the trees. This heatwave is called an historic one.

11:34 AM
This is the second carousel I stumbled across since arriving in Paris. I love these as they represent artifacts of the old Paris. I wonder how many of these are still operating today. I wish I could share an audio clip, too, so you could hear the circus-type music.
